At Chuo-Gaigo, we create an environment where children enjoy learning English through using songs and fun creative activities.
The first step begins with the Oxford World Phonics series and the Oxford Let's Go series, where children learn sounds, words and basic expressions as well as learning how to read and use English for daily conversation.
During our lesson Chuo-Gaigo concentrates on mixing three important learning styles （kinesthetic, auditory and visual）.
During the lesson, children are playing games, jumping, gesturing, and trying things out by touching, feeling and smelling. That helps them to activate the kinesthetic learning style. To activate the auditory style children are singing a lot of funny and easy songs, listening to music and stories. By using colorful books, flashcards and watching movies, our teachers are working with the visual learning style. Research shows us that each learning style uses different parts of the brain. By involving more of the brain during learning, we remember more of what we learn.
For our students Chuo-Gaigo creates an international environment, so students are exposed to different cultures through our teachers who are from different countries. What helps them to think outside the box is contact with different teachers from other cultures, who have different ways of thinking.
